I’ll build a new Accra – new Mayor


Madam Elizabeth Kwatseo Tawiah Sackey, the new Mayor for the Accra Metropolitan Assembly says her principle plan is to construct another Accra.


“My vision is to fabricate another Accra; a model city whose occupants have a common obligation in making it current,” she said.


Madam Sackey said this after the Assembly individuals consistently affirmed her as the primary female Chief Executive Officer of the Assembly.

She got 30 ‘Yes’ votes from all the Assembly individuals, addressing 100% underwriting in a political race directed by the Electoral Commission (EC) in Accra.

The new AMA Chief Executive communicated appreciation to the Assembly individuals for the underwriting and said, “There is a ton of work to be done; hence, this is a clarion require all to come on board so we can accomplish our objectives. I will require your undaunted help.”


Madam Sackey said, “Together, we will face every one of our difficulties head-on, thinking about our qualities, shortcomings, openings and dangers.”

Mr Henry Quartey, Greater Accra Regional Minister, praised the Assembly for a smooth affirmation measure.

He encouraged the new Mayor to work in solidarity with the Assembly individuals.

“I compliment you for a particularly smooth and fruitful affirmation. I encourage all of you to work in solidarity, that way you would have the option to accomplish the victories you wanted,” he expressed.

Madam Sackey was a previous Deputy Greater Accra Regional Minister and Member of Parliament for the Okaikoi North voting demographic.
