Ghanaian farmers enjoying better life under Akufo-Addo – Agric Minister


The expectations for everyday comforts of Ghanaian ranchers over the most recent couple of years have changed from awful to great under the public authority of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo through the Planting for Food and Jobs program.


“They have seen the change in their lives and this is something that the public authority of Akufo-Addo has consistently tried to bring to individuals of this nation,” Minister for Food and Agriculture Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto said.


Addressing the host of PM Express on JoyNews, Evans Mensah observed by, the Minister expressed that “the program is developing further. Truth be told, I will say that thinking back long previously, it has developed far superior to we thought.”

“Much more ranchers have come ready. Remember we began with an objective of 200,000 ranchers and last year, we contacted 1.7million ranchers”, he added.

“That implied that the spending plan for the appropriations was simply detonating on the grounds that the ranchers spilled in to join the program since they have seen the effect, the further developed seeds and compost have had on yields – where a section of land for their entire resides has been doing 3-5 sacks of maize, for example. Planting for Food and Jobs

Planting for Food and Jobs is a leader rural Campaign of the Government, with five (5) execution modules. The primary module PFJ (Crops) means to advance food security and prompt accessibility of chose food crops available and furthermore give occupations. This module was authoritatively dispatched by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at Goaso on April 19, 2017 in the then Brong Ahafo Region.
